Buying Trip for 26AW in September
Hello, this is Miyaji.
Before I knew it, three years had passed, and I’m finally on my first buying trip to the U.S. since opening the shop.
I had wanted to come here for so long, but due to various circumstances, I hadn't been able to make it. It was truly a struggle to get here.
Initially, I had planned to travel east and west, but realizing that the Brimfield show in September would be far too competitive, I changed my route; I traveled north from San Francisco and am currently in Portland. It was a last-minute decision based on how I felt, and I struggled quite a bit at the start. However, by adjusting the plan and digging for rare vintage pieces, I’ve managed to gather a selection that feels uniquely like me and fits our shop’s identity, even if the quantity isn't huge. Also, because I’ve been sleeping in my car for most of this buying trip, I haven’t really been able to keep up with this blog. With the high frequency of car break-ins and robberies, options for sleeping are limited, and I can't really take out my laptop.

I visited a relatively large flea market on the West Coast.
Although the harvest from my first visit was very small, I’m glad I came.
So many buyers had gathered by 5 a.m.
Everyone moves so fast.

In Portland, a dealer I’ve been working with for a long time opened a new warehouse.
Even though prices are soaring, this stop helped me gather a significant amount.
Thank you as always.
The item in the photo is a vintage piece I wanted so badly, but I refrained from even asking the price.
For those curious, how much would you be willing to pay for it!?
The boxes I packed with carefully selected items were just shipped out.
They are scheduled to arrive by the Silver Week holidays, so please look forward to them.
Up until now, I’ve been buying without a fixed plan, starting with vintage clothes and gradually increasing my selection of curated items.
Starting with this trip, in addition to the pre-ordered selection, I’ve been focusing on buying vintage pieces that reflect my current mood, so the overall quality is great, and I think the total styling when mixed will be very interesting. While you might be able to buy some of the brands I select at other shops, I want to propose a style that is unique to our store. It’s still a work in progress, but I will continue to grow the shop bit by bit with the goal of providing value you can’t find anywhere else.
I was able to come here only thanks to the customers who have visited the shop and those who have used our online store.
Thank you all so much, as always.
Staying in a hotel for the first time in a while felt ten times more restorative than sleeping in the car.
I had a little celebration last night to refresh.

Truly, Awesome!!!!
I was writing this blog in the hotel lobby while waiting for the courier, and since they’ve arrived, I’ll be heading to the next area now.
The journey continues.
Look forward to the second half.
