Buying Trip for 26AW in September ②

26AW Buying Trip in September ②

Hello.
This buying trip, which felt both long and short, and short yet long, is just about coming to an end.

This time, I was able to curate 9 boxes of carefully selected items. I managed to source a wide range of genres, from easily accessible regular vintage clothing to true vintage pieces.

Beyond it being my first buying trip in a while, I was quite anxious at the start because things weren't going as well as I'd hoped, but things gradually smoothed out over time.
As a result, the selection is quite stellar. I’m confident in it.
This trip took me from Seattle to Vancouver, Canada, for the first time.
I headed north from Portland, a journey that took about three hours to reach Seattle.

Along the way, I picked up some deadstock sneakers and visited various people, from long-time dealer acquaintances to new contacts I met for the first time.

As a result, a significant amount was gathered.
Actually, to be honest, I finished collecting everything so early that I exhausted my budget.

While feeling grateful to everyone, I also managed to visit a market I’d never been to before, continuing to buy with my remaining meager budget, and in the end, it turned out perfectly.

Looking back on it again, I am extremely satisfied with this buying trip.

I can't wait to get these items on the floor in the shop.
I originally planned to extend the trip further out into the countryside, but due to a few lost days and a lack of time, I had to give up on that idea.

Instead, I headed further north and made sure to spend ample time in Vancouver.
I made some great new connections in Portland and Seattle, but I also had some wonderful encounters in Vancouver.

Due to my budget, I couldn't buy much there, but I’m already looking forward to my next visit. It was truly fantastic.
From here, it’s off to the thrift stores.

Just because I crossed from the US into Canada doesn't mean things are any different; the thrift stores have all been picked clean.

If there are any oversights, it's maybe just a few items here and there.

Still, I managed to buy everything I needed.
This process of just endlessly going around to thrift stores is tedious, but the adrenaline rush when you actually find something is incredible.

I believe this is a part of the job that I can never compromise on when picking modern vintage clothing.
Even if there isn't "vintage" per se, interesting used clothing can be found here.
After finishing my vintage clothing rounds, I visited the Canadian select shop "Neighbour."
It had a strong lineup that really highlighted the great sense of their buyer, Mr. Saager.
The interior, which makes use of a building constructed over 100 years ago, was also lovely, and I was very moved.
I vow to continue to grow more and more myself.

I visited several restaurants recommended by Mr. Saager and went to an excellent museum.
I also discovered some new brands along the way, which makes me even more excited for the future.

First, I filled my stomach at a pizza place.
It was a very good time; I refrained from the wine.

I also went to a local craft brewery.
There are still a few more to visit, and I want to find my own personal favorite.

Pho eaten on the morning of the second day.
This shop, with its French-meets-Vietnamese concept, offered a more delicate and refined taste compared to the slightly wilder Vietnamese cuisine I usually have in the US.

While experiencing the local food culture, I also visited standard tourist spots.

I visit art galleries or museums that interest me in every place I go in the US, but this one was in a league of its own. It was truly moving.
I vow to come back here again once I've grown further.

I did my best with the luggage.
My back is killing me too...
All products are scheduled to arrive before Silver Week, so there will be massive restocking for a while.
With each passing trip, Lakewood Clothing continues to grow.

After returning home, first I will take care of my body, then take care of the products, and get everything properly prepared.

We will resume business from the 19th.
We have a massive arrival of not just vintage clothing, but new select items as well.
I'm sure this year's Silver Week will be perfect for shopping.

Please look forward to it.
