REDUCTION FACTORY. is a ceramics brand from Tohoku that was launched in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture in 2016 by ceramic designer Kuntaro Abe and moved its base to Iwate Prefecture in 2024.
This is a self-made brand that was started with the idea that by having direct contact with material selection, techniques, mixing, firing, etc., I would be able to further deepen my knowledge as a ceramic designer.
Based on the idea of ​​"100 things that enrich the lives of 100 people," the products are made as cheap and easy to purchase as possible, and are characterized by their individual decorations that allow buyers to choose from among the repetitive production items. is.

Ceramic apple figurine.
The universal shape of the "apple" has been applied with earth, glaze and firing techniques.
The details retain the natural look of the clay, and due to the nature of ceramic products, there will be slight individual differences in size, texture, color, etc., and each piece is unique.
The pattern is prone to variations in shade and color unevenness, and crystals may appear where the glaze has accumulated, but this is intentional, so please enjoy it as part of the attraction.

*From a design perspective, I wanted to apply glaze to the back side as well, so I placed three prongs (clay supports) in place before firing; although there are marks left behind, all of my products will be like this.
