One of our store's themes is to create clothing with a highly artistic feel.
I definitely like simple, high-quality things, but lately I've been enjoying expressing my individuality through simple styles.
Especially in spring and summer, as clothing becomes lighter, styles that are too simple can start to feel a bit lacking.

Blackbird's 005 Collection has arrived.
The pattern designs of this collection really stand out, and with each passing season I'm becoming more and more addicted to the brand.
By the way, the theme for this season is as follows:

"The Mess We're In"

"A style that is not flashy but is of high quality, and is completed by deepening one's aesthetics and thinking based on the wardrobe one envisions."
The brand concept remains the same, but collection 005 focuses on one British female musician. She made a sensational appearance in the alternative era, and even now, 30 years later, she remains unique, with her edgy and punk side intact. Her realm of expression goes beyond the framework of a musician, but she is still a musician after all.

The lyrics, which could be described as self-harming, never disappear, and the collection coexists with all sorts of dilemmas, anger and pain, learning, digging deeper and looking back... it moves forward as if searching for a clue to a solution that does not exist anywhere, valuing an incompleteness that is not bound by the past and lacking in confidence, and looking towards the future.

Each piece of clothing designed by designer Akabane is not only packed with attention to detail, but is also fun to look at.
It's visually appealing, the material feels great, and it's so uplifting to wear.
I can't help but think that I want this.
I became one of them.

"Pajama Shirt" (Print)

A pajama shirt suitable for everyday wear, with a fabric and silhouette that has been carefully designed.
By pursuing a pattern that is strong enough for clothing, the shirt works as a piece of clothing without feeling unreliable like loungewear.

The airy fabric has a lot of space, making it comfortable to wear yet elegant in appearance.

When I tried putting the shirt on, I found that it was a slightly loose fit so I could wear it over a vintage sweatshirt.
You can pair it with a classy innerwear such as a knitted polo, or it also looks great over a tattered old T-shirt.

"Pajama Pants" (Print)

Although based on loungewear, the slightly thick and elegant silhouette gives it the persuasiveness of pants, making it a piece that pairs well with contrasting items such as a tailored jacket.

The fabric is light, but it has a presence that stands up to heavy clothing.
The easy waist makes it comfortable to wear.

The fabric is made by digitizing stencils that have been hand-sprayed onto original cut-out molds, adding a touch that cannot be expressed through computer graphics.
If you look closely, you can see that the spray appears to have bled slightly into the print.
The handcrafted finish is realistically portrayed in the print.
By the way, the stencil spray art is also a design that pays homage to the style of an American artist.

The words are from a poem by Patti Smith.
However, I would like to enjoy this clothing visually and sensorily, without being too caught up in the words and meaning.
Although it is patterned, it is black and white, so you won't have much trouble matching the colors.
Simply matching it with white or black gives a neat and cool impression, but it can be fun to combine it with color depending on your mood.

The combination of a clean jacket and relaxed pajamas is extremely cool.

As for the pants, they are designed to match the Director's Jacket that the brand continues to produce, so they balance very well when paired with the jacket.
We recommend pairing it with a Lea Boberg jacket.

The plain weave cotton fabric is easy to care for, and because it is printed there is no need to worry about color transfer.

I tend to be drawn to simple and usable items, but I like Blackbird's artistic items, like this season's painted denim, and would encourage you to try them out.
