Gurank "Log Stool Order Event" @ Lakewood Clothing
Hello.
Thank you to everyone who came to the recent Lakewood x Northwood event.
Our products were displayed alongside objects from Alaska and Canada, making it a very enjoyable event with something to see.
I hope we can continue this great project at least once a year.
Recently, we have also completed the process of stocking the store, so please come and see Lakewood Clothing's 24AW season lineup from now until the end of the year.
With that said, we would like to inform you about a new event.
First of all, we will start selling clothing from the upcoming 25SS season.
Gurank
"Functional beauty, folk tools, customs, elegance, and elegance"
Gurank is a coined word that combines words from the core of craftsmanship: functional beauty (K.)/design, folk tools (G.)/things used daily, customs (NA)/things that have been accumulated and established, splendor (R.)/beauty, and gloss (U.)/sexiness. We propose something a little new, based on the designer's experience, without specifying a country or era.
The collection, created by a designer who loves fishing and vintage clothing, exudes natural functional beauty, and the pants in particular left a strong impression.
Our lineup currently consists of many bold designs, but we are finally adding some basic pieces.
I'm looking forward to it!!
However, we were also drawn to non-clothing items, and decided to work on them at the event before they began selling them.
Gurank “Log Stool” Order Event @ Lakewood Clothing
This one-of-a-kind piece is made from oak wood from designer Sasaki's hometown of Hanamaki, Iwate, and has been hand-painted by Sasaki himself.
Oak is a hardwood with a high density, high strength and water resistance, making it a rare wood that has been used for building materials since ancient times.
Oak, a wood that was once commonplace in the past and has a strong presence in living rooms and terraces, can once again be made accessible to us as a stool or object that can be enjoyed as it ages over time.
Although this is before the start of the seasonal collection, this event will allow you to order a one-of-a-kind stool.
*We have limited stock available.

I myself have been going to Iwate Prefecture more often.
The areas I travel to have gradually expanded to include Morioka, Esashi, and Hanamaki.
I've stayed at Hanamaki Onsen twice and it was great (especially the self-catering).
Because of this connection, the stool was an item that caught my eye, not just from Gurank's collection.
I quite like wooden things and have looked at a lot of different pieces in the past, but I think this is an item that has a strong presence but will blend in seamlessly with any room.
It's great for use at home, in offices and shops too.
The tightly packed oak stool is extremely stable.
If you find something you like, you can take it home as is, or you can create your own original oak stool with a high degree of freedom, whether it's a single color or a mix of colors that you like.
Although it's a niche event, I personally find it quite interesting.
First of all, please come and see it during the event.
We will be serving Hanamaki craft beer and look forward to your visit.
