REDUCTION FACTORY. is a ceramics brand from Tohoku that was launched in Hasami Town, Nagasaki Prefecture in 2016 by ceramic designer Kuntaro Abe and moved its base to Iwate Prefecture in 2024.
This is a self-made brand that was started with the idea that by having direct contact with material selection, techniques, mixing, firing, etc., I would be able to further deepen my knowledge as a ceramic designer.
Based on the idea of ​​"100 things that enrich the lives of 100 people," the brand strives to make its products as inexpensive and easy to purchase as possible, and while they are reproducible products, they are decorated in a way that allows individual differences so that buyers can choose from them.

Ceramic apple figurine.
The universal shape of the "apple" has been applied with earth, glaze and firing techniques.
The details retain the natural look of the clay, and due to the nature of ceramic products, there are bound to be slight individual differences in size, texture, color, etc., and each piece is unique.
The pattern is prone to variations in shade and color unevenness, and crystals may appear where the glaze has accumulated, but this is intentional, so please enjoy it as part of the attraction.

*From a design perspective, I wanted to apply glaze to the back side as well, so I placed three prongs (clay supports) in place before firing; although there are marks left behind, all of my products will be like this.
