MARK.S “C JACKET” (Stripe)
-WOOL STRIPE
The “C JACKET” is a staple of MARK.S, produced continuously since the brand's inception.
It is characterized by its ease of styling, blending naturally into various outfits. While casual enough for everyday wear, it also possesses the refined presence expected of a wool jacket.
The generously sized pockets placed throughout are a signature detail of this jacket. Beyond their aesthetic presence, they offer the practicality needed to carry daily essentials.
The fabric used is an original wool textile by MARK.S, crafted in Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, one of Japan's leading wool-producing regions.
For the warp, TOP-dyed yarns are arranged in a hairline pattern, while the weft uses piece-dyed worsted yarns. By weaving these in a herringbone structure, a delicate stripe and a sense of depth are achieved.
The fabric is woven at a slightly lower density than standard specifications and thoroughly washed, bringing out the inherent softness and volume of the wool.
Even in the final finishing process, the fabric is not pressed heavily to create a uniform surface; instead, it is finished while retaining the material’s natural texture. Additionally, a sun-dried finish brings out natural wrinkles, and the garment is washed after sewing to provide a soft, lived-in feel from the very first wear.
It can be worn as a set with the “DOMENICO PANTS” in the same material. Each piece is easy to incorporate individually, making them versatile for everything from daily styling to more formal occasions.
All MARK.S products are sewn within Japan. While some items may incorporate vintage, deadstock, or hand-woven fabrics from overseas, the fundamental craft of sewing is consistently performed in Japan.

MARK.S is a brand that values receiving garments through pure "sensation," rather than understanding them through words or logic.
In an age overflowing with information and explanations, clothing is sometimes spoken about through words before one has even touched the physical object. However, there is no need for reasons or evaluation criteria when it comes to the things that truly captivate our hearts.
Aged textiles, tattered fabrics, and long-cherished vintage wear hold a beauty that words alone cannot convey. The craftsmanship of MARK.S began with the pursuit of this deeply personal and intimate feeling that arises between clothing and the person who wears it.
The designer personally collects hand-woven and hand-spun fabrics, antiques that were never used, and deadstock textiles from all over the world. Focusing on natural materials, they create small batches within Japan, drawing out the expressions and history inherent in each material.
In the mud-dyeing process passed down through generations on Amami Oshima, the use of mud, tree bark, and iron-rich soil creates colors with depth and fluctuation that can only be born from that land's nature. Furthermore, depending on the fabric, old-fashioned looms close to hand-weaving machines are used to weave the textiles slowly over time.
These values differ from those of mass production that prioritizes efficiency. Creating clothes that do not waste materials, are not swayed by the times, and will carry on into the future while changing alongside the wearer. Each piece from MARK.S is engraved with the designer’s aesthetic and the traces of time that have accumulated.
The designer’s name and background are not made public. This reflects the belief that one should first see, touch, and feel the product itself before being influenced by such information.
The "MARK" in the brand name signifies marks, records, traces, and symbols. The "S" layers on the meanings of Special and Supreme.
"The designer's record / archive."
The name MARK.S embodies the desire to leave behind one's aesthetic as a trace within clothing.
