Brand : Corgi Hosiery
Detail :
Corgi Hosiery is a knitwear manufacturer founded in South Wales, UK in 1893.
When the company was founded, coal mining was the main industry in Wales, and the company began manufacturing handmade socks out of the desire to provide warm long socks for the workers there.
After that, sales in the United States became successful and the company gained a high reputation as a sock manufacturer.
In 1960, the company began producing hand-framed intarsia knitwear, and later added cashmere, gaining recognition from luxury fashion houses in Paris.
In 1988, the company was awarded a Royal Warrant after Prince Charles had been a frequent customer of the company's knitwear and socks for 10 years.
Even in the 21st century, while most manufacturers have moved to mass production using machines, Corgi still insists on handmade artisan products and continues to produce knitwear for famous maison brands.
