ANSNAM

ANSNAM is a brand launched by Yasushi Nakano in 2006.
Ansunam is a brand that produces custom-made items, and while custom-made suits are the norm, it is a rare brand in Japan that also produces custom-made casual wear.
What prompted me to start ordering casual wear was largely due to my visit to Savile Row in the UK and learning the techniques there.
Before founding ANSNAM, she traveled to 30 countries to experience various cultural styles and traditional clothing, learning handmade techniques while also coming into contact with ethnic costumes and crafts. She creates items inspired by fabrics and materials, and offers designs that are suitable for the materials.
The designer, Yasushi Nakano, has a history of working as an assistant and production manager at Sacai, so he has excellent tailoring skills, and this high level of skill can be seen in the items sold.
Handmade items are made by skilled craftsmen with expertise in materials, patterns, tailoring techniques, sewing, etc. The greatest appeal of Ansnam is that not only can you sense the high level of craftsmanship in the items, but because they are one-of-a-kind custom-made items, you can grow attached to them and continue to use them for a long time.
