LINDA ZAPOTECA "OAXACAN RUG ORDER FAIR"
Hello!!
This is Miyaji.
We are fortunate to be hosting an event in Oaxaca Ragdoll.
"LINDA ZAPOTECA OAXACAN RAG ORDER FAIR"
11/30 - 12/11
This rug workshop was founded in the 1970s by Ismael Gutierrez, one of the three great masters of Oaxaca rugs, in the village of Teotitlan in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, which has long been known as a rug-producing region.
Today, he, his wife Linda, and their sons Gutires and Edgardo continue to hand-spin locally grown wool, dye it with natural dyes, and weave the fabric.
What is particularly noteworthy about this workshop is that, while most of the village's more than 100 rug workshops now use chemical dyes due to cost considerations, the workshop still uses traditional dyeing methods, extracting dyes from natural sources such as plants, insects and stones.
While many workshops use traditional Mexican motifs, the rugs made by this workshop combine tradition with modernity, making them one of a kind among Oaxaca rugs.
Sales price: ¥98,000- + TAX

Of course I love traditional Oaxaca rugs, but I decided to promote "LINDA ZAPOTECA" because they are more modern, have more freedom in patterns, and are more artistic.
Although the design is sophisticated, it is made using traditional natural dye techniques.
When comparing the texture of the material with other rug vests in our store, you can see that it's about as different as "ORTEGA'S" and "TRUJILLO'S" when it comes to Chimayo vests.
Slightly supple.
Take this opportunity to get a rug that will last you a lifetime.
I will also write another blog about the product.
We look forward to your visit.
