First, here is the schedule for January.



We'll start slowly on January 6th.

From last year to this year, I took a longer break from the store than usual and went back to my wife's parents' house in Kumamoto Prefecture.

The plan was for January 2nd, but my wife was due to give birth.
As a result, the baby was born safely...and not during my trip back to Kumamoto.

We will have to wait until we can meet our baby.

Well, that's beside the point.

I've been busy with my family the whole time, but I took advantage of some free time to go on a little trip.



To the Shiranui Art Museum and Library.
There was an exhibit I wanted to see.
I thought I wouldn't be able to go, but I was able to go out surprisingly smoothly.
Thank you, wife.

This is an exhibition by Mr. Arita of PERMANENT MODERN, a well-known clothing store with ties to Kumamoto, who retired in 2024.

I thought it was a very rare example of an exhibition that focuses on the owner of a select shop.
I really want to see and learn more, but it was a very interesting exhibition.

Although it is being held in a very local location, it is content that we would love to see expanded nationwide.
The event will run until January 28th.
If you are visiting Kumamoto, we recommend checking it out as it is only about an hour from the city center.



It was a very exciting event, including some brands that we carry in our store.
I admire his aesthetic sense and it has made me think about what kind of shop I should run, so I'm excited to open my own shop right at the start of the new year.

This year, I want to do that thing I couldn't do before!!
After all, I can't stop trying new things.

We are still a small shop that has only achieved about 1/10 of what we want to do, but we will continue to work hard to make it a better shop.
